At the end of the day, success inevitably comes
down to collaboration — with peers, with government,
maybe even with competitors.
The DCMA is not just an organization. It’s an
environment where collaboration thrives, and where
collaboration thrives, sustainable success follows.
Advocacy
The enormity of demands on CEOs rarely affords
them the time to engage in government interaction.
The DCMA advocates on behalf of its members
with every level of government from local to state to
federal. Whether the need be for interaction with city
government over code issues, state government over
taxation issues, or federal government over labor
issues, the DCMA represents its members via historic
relationships with representatives in every sector.
We continually advocate with local school district
administrations, teachers, parents, and students to

promote ongoing technical training programs that
meet the evolving workforce demands. But advocacy
goes beyond mere arbitration with government
entities. The DCMA continually advocates on a
business-to-business level, introducing members to
fellow members with compatible service offerings.
Trust, built through relationships, is the key to
successful cooperation and innovation. The DCMA
builds networks of trust-based cooperation among its
members with a single goal in mind — the growth and
success of every member.
