Leadership: Why DCMA Membership
Matters
In 2026, the Dallas County Manufacturers’ Association (DCMA) marks a major milestone celebrating 20 years
of driving success for North Texas manufacturers. Founded in 2006, DCMA was created by manufacturers,
for manufacturers, with one clear purpose: to help local industry leaders compete, grow and thrive in a global
economy. Today, that mission is more relevant than ever.
For two decades, DCMA has united the manufacturing community around three core pillars: building a worldclass workforce, amplifying advocacy, and sharing industry best practices. These pillars are the actionable
tools that help members solve real business challenges, stay ahead of trends, and position themselves for
long-term success.
A Pipeline for Skilled Talent
Manufacturers need workers who are capable, tech-savvy and reliable. DCMA members gain access to a
direct talent pipeline through partnerships with Dallas College, Garland ISD and Workforce Solutions. From
customized training to apprenticeships and grant-funded upskilling, DCMA helps manufacturers build the
workforce their operation demands, without starting from scratch.
Key programs include:
• Dallas FAME (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education) – Hands-on, high-tech training for the
next generation of technicians.
• Grant-funded training through the Skill Development Fund, ISOW and Corporate Services.
