Fuels Manufacturing Success
For nearly three decades, the partnership between the City of Garland and the Garland Chamber of
Commerce has stood as a model of collaboration; one that has made Garland a premier destination for
manufacturing in North Texas. What began in 1995 with the creation of the Garland Economic Development
Partnership has evolved into a deeply integrated alliance dedicated to supporting the backbone of Garland’s
economy: its manufacturers.
A Partnership with Purpose
The chamber’s relationship with the City of Garland was founded on a shared vision, to make Garland a
place where businesses can thrive. In 2006, that vision expanded with the formation of the Dallas County
Manufacturers Association (DCMA), which cemented manufacturing as a top economic priority for Garland.
